About Orca K-8
Orca K-8 is an alternative public school in Seattle’s Columbia City/Hillman City neighborhood. We focus on the education and growth of the whole child. We believe in strong academics, supported by rich social experiences. We encourage family and community involvement. Orca’s child centered program helps each student discover and develop in a safe and nurturing environment. Our school features individually paced instruction with teachers working in cooperative teams. The curriculum emphasizes academic achievement and strong education in the arts, environmental studies, natural history, and computer literacy.
